Humanitarian professional with 15 years’ experience in the aid sector, including eight years based overseas in country offices. Worked on humanitarian responses in the Ethiopia, Lebanon, Syria, Greece, Yemen, Occupied Palestinian Territories (oPt), Ukraine, and Myanmar and continue to regularly deploy to humanitarian crises as a member of the Save the Children Alumni Roster and the Irish Aid Rapid Response Roster (UN Standby Partner). Recently returned from a 5 month deployment with Save the Children in the West Bank, oPt.
During my career, I have developed skills and knowledge in partnership and localisation, strategy development and implementation, leadership and organisational management, collaboration and coordination, and new business development.
I became a freelance consultant in March 2021 and have since completed consultancies with Save the Children, Danish Refugee Council, Norwegian Refugee Council (Myanmar INGO Forum), Trócaire, Concern, Center for Operational Analysis and Research (COAR), CAFOD and Caritas Internationalis. Before becoming a consultant, I established Trócaire’s country presence in Lebanon, providing leadership and strategic direction for the new country team. As Country Director, I was responsible for strategy development and implementation, new business development, programme management, representation, relationship building and coordination, human resource management, safeguarding and complaints management, security management, finance and administrative management, advocacy and policy, and communications.
